Wonder how much these are going to cost when they come out, hopefully a little more than a Fit but less than a civic SI

Meh. I think that car is gonna be a pretty slow seller this side of the pond. It's pretty mediocre at everything and not really great at anything. The car in the video looked like it was getting through the corners pretty quickly but it definitely wasn't on stock tires and likely had upgraded suspension and sway bars. In reality an 89-91 Civic Si will outperform it in every performance category and probably match or best it in gas mileage too for a lot less money. Yeah, you get a much newer design and more creature comforts with the CR-Z...but at least the EF has back seats.

I like it. Sure it may not perform, but at least it's a fresh new look for the Hybrid. I really haven't liked the looks of the Hybrids mostly cuz I think they are butt ugly. The CR-Z looks kinda cool! Drop in a K20 with a turbo, she will be real lovely :D

I'm really not comparing it to the old cars, IIRC the old crx got like 50+ mpg. Obviously with the
extra safety features it added weight. For a modern car I think it will be a good position to grab some market
share.

2011 CR Z Type R?
"While the standard CR-Z develops a total of 122 hp, the Type-R version will go up to 200hp."

I gotta have me on of these! It's going to be my hot hatch, I wonder if it's available in AWD?

Just drove one today. Fun little car. It arrived just an hour before I drove it and I was the 1st to take it off the lot. Also got my 65 year old mother to take it out for a test drive as well and she loved it. I think it will be her next car actually in another year or two. She has an 09 Civic 4dr EX now with 30K on it.

The one we drove was the silver auto with Navi so it was loaded. Really not a bad price as it is just under $24,000 on the sticker. The thing I didn't like though is you can't get a power sunroof factory. The styling is great though IMOP.

I do know the dealer did break the rules though by letting us drive it as they are not supposed to show them to the public until Tuesday when they have the National release for them. The dealer did say I could have gone home with it today though but I wanna wait until I get to drive a manual. The auto is a 6 speed though with paddle shifter on the wheel which was fun. The sport mode does make a difference I have to say. Also the gauge cluster in amazing to look at.

Also the car is made in the same plant as the S2K in Japan which is nice. All of my personal Honda's except one have been made in Japan which I like.

Let me know your opinions of this car when you see one or are lucky enough to drive one.

SoCalPrelude.com MODS only inforce rules on some and not on all. Kyle is a joke.

How quick does it shift in sport mode? I drove a TSX V6 a while ago with the paddle shifters, and it seemed to take forever to shift after I hit the paddle. I wasn't a huge fan.
